So recently Kiro update its LLM, and as Anthropic released their Sonnet 4.5, the combo Kiro plus Sonnet 4.5 became by far the best IDE tool in my mind. Personally, I am happy about the news because as an engineer I focus on the project efficiency. Why? In the past months, Kiro used its spec and heavy engineered process to make sure that every task is done systematically. However, it couldn’t use Opus at the moment, and it limited the performance and the speed. In short, if I need to rank the best IDE today, Kiro will be it.
