Engineering handover

During the team collaboration, we sometimes need to handover the responsibility to another engineer, and it will be important to keep the process “safe”. For example, if an engineer wants to leave the team, we need to know the reason. Is there something that offend the person? Is that because he or she has a tight schedule? Or is the profit too small? After this, a team leader should make sure that the handover is smooth, including delivering clear spec sheets and environment requirement. As a team or an employer, it will be nice to keep the impact as little as possible.
