API usage

I heard a ridiculous story recently. So, there was a “vibe” coding team, trying to build an MVP. They somehow put their API into the GUI, so users, whether notice or not, keep using that API for LLM. The result? Yes, the team almost went broke. You may find it funny, but I can tell you that I personally saw a similar thing as well. The worse thing is that I actually try to warn them, with the reply saying “no, no problem at all”. I am not sure how such a company like this can survive, maybe only because their capital is enough for burning, but I wouldn’t recommend you to let your APIs be abused like this.
